Our Bokyna sandals in the FREEDOM Collection are true to size, so choose your regular shoe size to get the best fit. We recommend selecting the larger shoe size if you are between two sizes.

Yes, by moving the side cords, our Bokynas can be made a bit narrower.
No, the cords don't get any bigger when you wear them. They do not wear out but keep their shape. But that also means that you can't "shrink" them.
We have 3 different sole thicknesses to suit every need.
1. Our Touch sole is perfect for those looking for a Barefoot lifestyle. This zero-drop sole is barely 0.2in (0.5cm) thick.
2. Our Classic sole is our all-time classic, with 0.4in (1cm) at the front and 0.8in (2cm) at the heel.
3. Our Elevate sole is the choice for those looking for Arch Support. Starting with 0.67in (1.7cm) at the front and 1.10in (2.7cm) at the heel, the inner measurement of the arch support is 0.67in (1.7cm).
The ribbons that the bands are made of are very soft. But don't take our word for it - here is what one of our wonderful customers Alison says: "The cords fit super, are butter soft, and you don't notice them at all." Alison purchased a pair of Turquoise Soulmates on 25 May 2021.
As the extent and location of each person's bunion will be different, it is difficult to give one answer to suit everyone. We have had previous great feedback from customers who have purchased the SOULMATE model, as the bunion fits exactly into the gap between the straps. However, this result cannot be generalised for every unique customer situation.

Yes, you have good grip in the Bokynas. The cords fit well to the foot, so you don't slip around. The sole is also contoured which prevents slipping.
The Bokynas are colorfast and can be washed by hand with warm water and soap.
